Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Dimmit, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
License
Dimmit is licensed, not sold. Upon purchasing a lifetime license, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Dimmit on your personal Mac for as long as the app is maintained.
Free Trial
Dimmit offers a 15-day free trial with full functionality. No payment information is required to start the trial. After the trial period ends, a valid license is required to continue using the app.
DDC Compatibility
Dimmit uses the DDC protocol to communicate with external monitors. Not all monitors support DDC, and Dimmit cannot guarantee compatibility with every display. DDC availability depends on your monitor, cable, and Mac hardware configuration.
Provided "As Is"
Dimmit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The developer is not liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to incorrect brightness adjustments or display issues.
Updates
Dimmit may check for updates via Sparkle. You are not required to install updates, but keeping the app updated is recommended for the best experience and compatibility.
Termination
Your license may be revoked if you violate these terms, including but not limited to redistributing the app, reverse engineering, or using it for purposes incompatible with its intended use.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Dimmit after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
